L&B Farms has developed programs specifically designed to help Scouts earn their horse fan and horse rider badges. Our badge curriculums are designed to cover all badge requirements and stress safety.

L&B Farms conducts scout programs all year, rain or shine. If your troop is ready to earn its horse-related badges, L&B Farms is the place to be.  Either spending a few hours at the barn or as an overnight sleepover we cover the requirements for earning a horse badge.

At L&B Farms, we create experiences that exceed the requirements for scout badges. Here, troops are taught by professionally trained instructors (in many cases, Lisa, our owner runs the events). During the session, Scouts will learn safe stall and barn behavior, groom a horse, saddle and bridle the horse, mount, dismount, ride including turning and stopping at both a walk and trot.  We also play games involving horse anatomy, and learning about common health problems relating to horses.  When you choose L&B Farms for your scout event, be assured that you’re getting the best experience for your investment.
